Paying, and what happens to your card.

You can pay by card or with PayPal. Prices are in euro.

How paying works

At the payment step you are given two choices. Credit or debit card — you type the card into the checkout itself and stay on this site; Visa, Mastercard and Maestro among others are accepted. Or PayPal — you are taken to PayPal to approve the payment and returned here, and no card is typed at all.

There is no difference in price between the two, and no fee for either. Choose whichever you prefer.

We never see your card

Card payments on this site are processed by PayPal. The card fields at checkout pass the details straight to PayPal's processor — they are never sent to us, never shown to us and never stored by us. The rest of checkout runs on Shopify's encrypted checkout.

Currency

Every price on this site is in euro, and euro is what is charged. If your card or PayPal balance is held in another currency, the rate and any conversion fee are set by your bank or by PayPal, not by us — which is why the amount on your statement may differ slightly from the total shown here.

When you are charged

At the moment the order is placed, not at dispatch. Shipping is added before you pay and is shown in the order summary; there is nothing further to pay on delivery within the EU.

Orders sent outside the EU may attract import duties or taxes collected by the destination country on arrival. Those are not part of the total you pay here — see Shipping.

Refunds

A refund goes back the same way it came — to the card or the PayPal account used for the order. See Returns for how and when.

If a payment fails

A declined payment means no order was created and nothing was taken, even if you briefly see a pending line on your statement — an authorisation that is not completed drops off on its own. Try again, and if it fails a second time write to sarauraofficial@gmail.com rather than repeating it; repeated attempts are the thing most likely to make a bank block the next one.
